It has been quite a year for Instagram. After watching its community grow from one million users to over fifteen million users, it was honored as a 2011 iPhone App of the Year. Yesterday, Instagram revealed the 15 most popular places where Instagram photos were taken in 2011.
Number one on the list may come as no big surprise as it is “the happiest place on earth” and “the place where memories are made.” That place is Disneyland.
Four of the top six places on the list are airports. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport was number two, while San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hong Kong’s international airports were fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
The list also includes three museums, two iconic places, two parks, two malls and a stadium.
