Happiness! is when you have flown stand_by to Sydney and visit the Glenmore Hotel . . . . AND your brother buys the hamburgers because Richard says they are the greatess in the world. I will now put pickled beets on all the hamburgers I make. We also fly stand_by and have all the similar strange stories. Flying to Hawaii in 'Busines Class', collecting our bags, then walking to the Bus Stop and being passed by limos whose passengers we were just sitting next to. One of my favorite pictures of my wife was a photo that was on the front page of the Atlanta newspaper on the 23rd of December sitting in the Atlanta airport trying to get to LAX. We don't have the 35 years of stand_by experience Dale has. Only 29.
Thanks for the TIP on the hamburgers at the Glenmore.

This is a great story! Having been your Dad's pseudosister for around 35 years, I have live vicariously through his family's many adventures - and Big Al and I frequently found ourselves waiting for days for word to come pick him up at the airport from whatever historical adventure he had enjoyed! Worth the wait, though!

As a self-proclaimed Aerospace Engineer, if you think thats geeky, you should meet some of my colleagues! On a serious note, as an Airbus employee, its great to hear some positive feedback following all the bad press. Keep up the good work!
