On a trip that ranked very high on the “wow factor” scale, the highlights for me were related to Salvador Dali and his beloved wife Gala. Images of Dali’s colorful expressions and waxed mustache have always caught my attention. In fact, ever since I visited the Dali Museum in St Petersburg, Florida years ago, I’ve[…]
The relatively unknown Costa Brava in Catalonia is located on Spain’s rugged northeast coast. The beautiful sand beaches, quaint coves and jagged cliffs at the edge of the sea harmonize with the natural inland beauty to create an absolutely stunning landscape. Roughly a 2 hour drive from Barcelona, Costa Brava is the perfect getaway for[…]
I recently had the unique opportunity to head up in a small airplane for a scenic flight over Costa Brava. Upon arriving at the Empuriabrava Aerodromo, Arantxa Ros, Andy Montgomery and I were introduced to our pilot for the day and were then lead over to the small hangar where the airplane was housed. Starting in Oviedo, I’ll tour the old quarters of the city and check out the World Heritage Sites on Naranco mountain which[…]

As a self-proclaimed airplane geek, I was thrilled when I received a call from @joantxo offering me the chance to snap some birds-eye-view shots of Benicassim and the FIB festival grounds.
