PinClout is a new website that brings analytics to Pinterest and assigns users a score from one to 100.
As mentioned in an earlier post, Pinterest is a fun new platform that, if leveraged properly, can provide an upper hand for travel bloggers and travel brands. Given all the recent buzz surrounding Pinterest, it was just a matter of time before some type of new service would come along to offer insight into a user’s activity on Pinterest. Enter the recently launched website called PinClout which publishes scores, similar to Klout, and ranks users based on a series of elements and activities.
According to the new site, “the goal of PinClout is to empower people and brands with the tools necessary to monitor trends, understand activity, and gauge impact, easily.”
To find your PinClout score, you simply create a PinClout user account and provide your Pinterest details. PinClout then calculates your score according to a number of statistics, including how many repins you have, how many likes you have and how many followers you have.
While just how accurate the results are remains to be seen, the number does provide you with a representation of the reach of your pinning. The site updates user scores daily and, according to the new site, the average PinClout score is 29.
How much clout do you have on Pinterest? What is your score?

25 for me. But I’ve not been on there that long!
Given Pinterest’s demographics, a low score may be desirable for guys who don’t want to fall under the heading of “girlie men” (to use a phrase popularized by a former California governor).
