As part of the #InPyrenees blogtrip, I had the opportunity to meet and have dinner with Skyrunner Kilian Jornet who was very gracious and extremely grounded (no pun intended).
Kilian is a hometown hero who grew up in the mountains near Lles de Cerdanya in the Catalan Pyrenees. Until this trip, I had never heard of skyrunning. Essentially, skyrunning is high altitude endurance racing akin to a marathon through the mountains.
Also accompanying Kilian to dinner (besides our group of travel bloggers) was a film crew who was in the process of shooting a documentary about Kilian. Earlier this week, one of the film’s producers sent me the new trailer which features some stunning images of Cerdanya, Catalonia, Spain.
